Although Kaplan-Meier analysis still indicated borderline significance of STK17A as a predictor of survival in GBM ( Figure 7B ) and Cox analysis indicated a significant association between STK17A expression and survival even after correcting for EGFR, gender and molecular phenotype, the HR values were lower as compared to the LGG cohort and significance was lost when correcting for age (Table E and Table F in Table S1 ).
Increased expression of STK17A was associated with a highly significant decrease in overall patient survival when assessed by the Kaplan-Meier log-rank test in a combined cohort of all patients with glioma from the TCGA database ( Figure 7B ).
