With adjustment for sex, age and SES in the final model, there was no increased risk of chronic pain, and no significantly increased risk of pain-related disability for those in the MA-group, but there was a borderline significant risk of pain-related disability in the HMA-group group compared with the H-group (OR = 2.35, CI 1.00–5.52, P = 0.051).
