Why that trend was observed in most males from Denmark but the two males from NW Spain showed either no trend or a decreasing trend is unclear but again the difference is suggestive of dissimilarities between individuals from the two regions, either on their foraging behaviour or in their patterns of movements and, consequently, on the δ 15 N baselines of the waters they inhabit.
