The linear trend effect was marginally significant ( F 1,9 = 4.37, P = 0.066) explaining 49% of apparent dispersal variation in wet years, whose model averaged estimates (Table S1 in File S4 ) linearly decreased from 0.16 (SE = 0.03) to 0.09 (SE = 0.03) ( Figure 2 ).
