Comparison between DNA regions for polymorphic information – measured as mean variation for each gene as in Figure 1 – yielded, despite small sample sizes, highly significant differences for all parameters when the six sequences were considered at the same time (p = 0.011, p = 0.006 and p = 0.000, for Hd, π and Nh/n, respectively).
