Seventy-two hours after UVB exposure, there was a UVB dose-dependent increase in the levels of CXCL1, CXCL2, and CCL3 mRNA in the skin of WT and CD1d −/− mice, compared with non-UVB-exposed controls, but again the mRNA levels of each and every one of these chemokines was considerably significantly lower in CD1d −/− skin compared with WT skin, regardless of the dose ( Figure 2b ).
