Patients with expression of HLA class I showed significant higher levels of Foxp3+ cells at borderline significance in their tumour punches compared with HLA class I downregulation or loss: a mean of 21 Foxp3+ cells in the expression group vs a mean of 12 and 14 positive cells in the downregulation group and in the loss of HLA class I group, respectively, P =0.07.
