Unexpectedly, MCL1 showed a slight trend towards upregulation in p53+ cells; the densitometric quantification of the corresponding bands (of three independent assessments) revealed that MCL1 was elevated by 37% (vorinostat), 26% (entinostat) and 3% (tenovin-1).
