Patients with TBM were more likely to have one of the other, less frequently occurring AIDS defining illnesses (15/33, 45.5%), compared to those with TBP (13/49, 26.5%) or TBEP (22/89, 24.7%, P = 0.078), although this was marginally statistically significant.
