Highly significant and robust increase of the S. marcescens load was observed after silencing any of the three genes compared to dsLacZ -treated controls: 21 to 53-fold in FN3D1 ( Figure 3A ), 41 to 60-fold in FN3D2 ( Figure 3B ) and 13 to 29-fold in FN3D3 kd ( Figure 3C ).
