When comparing the results from unsupervised clustering to the four subtype classification suggested by Verhaak et al using the 840-gene expression based signature, we found a highly significant overlap ( P = 9.88×10 −1 , Fisher’s Exact Test for lack of overlap) ( Table S1 and Figure S1 ), although this result could have been influenced by the inclusion of GBMs from Rembrandt.
