We observed an overall increasing trend in all-site cancer mortality over the period 1971–1975, regardless of sex and country of birth ( Figure 1 ), and a decreasing trend during the remaining study period for men regardless of country of birth; no changes were observed for women in the past two decades ( Figure 1 ).
