Compound “9u” having i-propyl group substitution at p-position was found to be the most potent among all the tested compounds.[ 19 ] In order to evaluate the therapeutic applicability of compound “9u”, showing highly significant activity against M. tuberculosis H 37 Rv stain, toxicity evaluation in the target host cells is also a primary concern.
