The blood pCO 2 of the E group (85.2 ± 6.3 mmHg) significantly decreased after the intense exercise compared with that of the R group (114.2 ± 4.1 mmHg), and the ER group (117.6 ± 7.3 mmHg) showed a highly significant increase compared with the E group.
