More specifically, while the neuroanatomy of SLF II (which connects parietal and premotor cortex) appears to fairly similar in humans and monkeys (de Schotten et al., 2012 ), there may be significant species differences in the strength of the connections between superior temporal regions and parietal regions (i.e., the SLF-tp connections in Figure 5 ; cf. the “posterior indirect segment” of the arcuate fasciculus in Figure 2 of López-Barroso et al., 2013 ).
