CP and C31cells previously incubated with mAbs against α2 or β1 subunits showed extremely significant reduced rates of adhesion to type 1 collagen in a 92% and 73% for CP; and in a 89% and 69% for C31, respectively (p<0.001); whereas mAbs against other important integrin subunits (α3, α5) did not change the adhesion rates significantly ( Figure 3A ).
