For the PRESERVE score, the observed mortality rates for score classes 0 to 2, 3 to 4, 5 to 6 and ≥7 showed an increasing trend as in the original study; however, the rates were higher for the lower-risk groups and lower for the higher-risk groups in the present study population (Table 3 ).
