Spontaneous alternation in the Y-maze Regarding short-term memory assessment, two-way analysis of the percentage of time spent in the novel arm [(time spent in the novel arm divided by three arms) × 100], revealed an effect of the treatment ( F (1,56) = 20.282, p < 0.001) and an almost significant interaction sex*treatment ( F (1,56) = 3.706, p = 0.059), but no effects of sex ( F (1,56) = 1.013, p = 0.318) during the test phase (Figure 4 ).
