Furthermore, our study suggests that vegetative fragments may be significant dispersal units for ectozoochory of bryophytes, supported more broadly by the screening of non-avian vectors ( Heinken et al., 2001 ; Pauliuk, Muller & Heinken, 2011 ), relative to anemochory whereby spores may be the primary dispersal units.
