However, the long list of negative clinical trials targeting amyloid production or deposition compels us yet again to reexamine the amyloid cascade hypothesis as only a marginally significant pathogenic mediator of disease and to perhaps revert back to traditional science principle where repeated negative data leads one to consider other ideas [ 8 – 10 ].
