These results were rather puzzling at first but immunohistochemical analysis revealed a slight but significant reduction in the vessel number (Figure 5 ) as well as a highly significant 4-fold increase in pericyte covered vessels when tumors were treated with the Ang-2 inhibitor (Figure 6 ).
