As shown in Figure 7 , our multi-omics network analyses show an increasing trend of the expression level of genes that encode the co-expressed enzymes and consecutive steps for glycolysis IV (plant cytosol) and the key enzymes that produce high-energy nutrients (ethanol) in Arabidopsis and maize stigmas during pollination.
