Post hoc analyses (corrected for multiple comparisons using the Bonferroni procedure, α adjusted threshold = .025) revealed that attachment style did not have a significant effect in either the low, χ 2 (2) = .79, P = .79, or the high, χ 2 (2) = 6.29, P = .043, perceived empathy conditions, but the latter showed a trend toward significance.
