In our GLM, “predator type” was highly significant ( Table 2 A), indicating that test fish showed different responses towards the four stimulus species; more specifically, test fish showed avoidance behavior when confronted with the cichlids while they associated with swordtail females ( Figure 2 A). “Drainage” and “sex” were also significant, suggesting overall differences in the responsiveness between the Río Puyacatengo and Río Pichucalco drainage as well as between males and females ( Table 2 A).
