Twenty-six out of 67 patients with IAH eventually progressed to ACS.[ 14 ] In another 9 months study at the ICU of a level 1 trauma center, 15/706 (2%) consecutive trauma patients were diagnosed with IAH and 6/15 eventually progressed to ACS.[ 15 ] This review thus shows that if IAP were measured routinely in all ICU patients, the diagnostic yield might not be significant enough to justify the effort.
