Furthermore, whereas the association with EPCR rs2069948 was restricted to patients with ER and PR positive tumors (OR 1.27, 95% CI 1.01-1.58; and OR 1.30, 95% CI 1.03-1.65, respectively), there was an overall trend that the four SNPs in F5 were confined to hormone receptor negative patients (ER/PR negative) (ORs from 1.54 to 1.99) and triple negative patients (ER/PR/HER2 negative) (ORs from 1.68 to 2.11) when compared with healthy controls (Additional file 3 : Table S2).
