Results Vinpocetine significantly improves the serum fibrinogen, blood viscosity, plasma viscosity, kinematic viscosity, and erythrocyte rigidity index ( P < 0.05), but it produced highly significant effect on low shear whole blood viscosity ( P < 0.01), while vinpocetine effects on hematocrit, total serum protein, and high shear whole blood viscosity were insignificant in comparison with pretreatment values ( P > 0.05, Table 1 ).
