A highly significant correlation was found between the level of light emission in photons/s over a three-fold order of serial dilution of the samples of the supernatants of exponential- (R 2 > 0.90) and stationary-phase cultures (R 2 > 0.96), showing that this biosensor is an accurate and sensitive mean for quantifying the concentration of the GBAP pheromone.
