During the first period (1995–2000), the age-adjusted five-year RSR was higher among women for all sites except colon (Table 6 ); the women’s advantage was statistically significant for mouth and pharyngeal cancer (20% units) and lung cancer (6% units), while it was borderline significant for skin melanoma (14% units).
