For every additional 10 years of age, the cerebral cortex was 0.026mm thinner (95% CI = 0.019–0.033); changes were seen throughout much of the lateral frontal and posterior temporal and parietal cortices ( Fig 2 ), with the most highly significant changes in the medial and dorsolateral frontal, posterior temporal, and parietal cortices.
