The incidence rate of absence from preschool in the active group was 0.0198; 30% lower than in the placebo group (0.0282, P =0.007, PP analysis), and there was a trend towards significance for the number of days absent from preschool and the number of paediatric physician visits due to URTI symptoms ( P =0.070 and P =0.082, respectively, Table 2 , PP analysis) in the active group compared with placebo group.
