highly significantP < 0.0001
In good agreement with these changes in inversion frequencies as estimated from our SNP markers, we found highly significant effects of inversion type (two-way anova , F 5,24 = 21.339, P < 0.0001) and of the inversion type by selection regime interaction ( F 5,24 = 6.9793, P < 0.001) in our data based on inversion frequencies observed from 275 karyotyped larvae, confirming again the reliability of our novel inversion-specific SNP markers.
