The highly significant protection (regularly 50–55% reduction in worm burden and egg production) observed using these native preparations when delivered in Freund's complete adjuvant was further enhanced (72.4%) when combinations were made with proteins contained in a high molecular weight haem-containing (Hb) fraction.
