It was considered that girls probably had fewer problems in this issue because it was clear that the general continence had a relation with maturation, thus girls completed maturation process earlier than boys.[ 25 ] In their study, Gümüs et al ., detected that the ratio of prevalence of EN was higher among boys than girls.[ 19 ] In the study of Gür et al ., the similar result was obtained.[ 2 ] However, even if it was not significantly significant, in this study the number of boys with EN was higher than girls (52.2%/47.8%) ( P = 0.244).
