Cellular and in vivo targeting experiments using EDB-targeting liposomes with four different combinations of PEG lipid pairing revealed an interesting trend: (i) both APT EDB -PEG 2000 /PEG 1000 LS and APT EDB -PEG 1000 /PEG 550 LS had much higher cellular and tumor uptake than that of APT EDB -PEG 2000 /PEG 2000 LS and APT EDB -PEG 1000 /PEG 1000 LS, respectively, and (ii) there was a slight difference in the efficacy between APT EDB -PEG 2000 /PEG 1000 LS and APT EDB -PEG 1000 /PEG 550 LS.
