Genetic differentiation between these northern and southern populations was highly significant (Exact test p<0.0001; F ST = 0.15 p<0.0001; R ST = 0.19, p<0.001) and strong population differentiation was also observed for both males (Fisher exact test p<0.0001; F ST = 0.13 P<0.002) and females (Fisher exact test p<0.0001; F ST = 0.11 p<0.003) No first generation migrants between regions were detected by Structure ( Fig 3 ) or Geneclass (100% of the individuals were correctly assigned to their putative population; Quality Index 97.45%).
