Student-tutors and I resorted to asking the group personal questions, for example, ‘What if I were to give you this drug tomorrow?’ and ‘What if the patient says, do I really need to take this drug, doctor?’ Only one student discussed that a 3% reduction in death from heart attack was highly significant across the UK population, others were likely to say, ‘Well, I wouldn't take it’.
