Although no significant difference was found at other CpG sites, compared with control rats, more than half of these sites showed a slight trend toward hypermethylation, such as the −2639 and −2446 sites, in the EUGR rats, suggesting a general trend of hypermethylation of this locus at the distal promoter of the Notch1 gene.
