Recently, some studies have been examined the plasma lipid profile in sarcoma patients, and the results show that sarcoma patients have a highly significant reduction in serum levels of triglycerides and cholesterol and a moderate decrease in LDL-cholesterol and HDL-cholesterol when compared with normal control subjects. 20 However, there is little information on the influence of lipid profile on clinical outcome in STS patients.
