After adjustment for age, sex, and duration of diabetes (model 1), the OR (95% CI) of periodontitis was 0.95 (0.55–1.64) in patients with 10 ≤UACR <30 mg/g, 1.59 (0.89–2.82) in those with 30 ≤UACR <300 mg/g, and 3.25 (1.21–8.71) in those with UACR ≥300 mg/g and the ORs show an increasing trend with a borderline significance as the UACR values increased ( P for trend = 0 .05).
