Because the predicted average concentration of CNTs in soil (0.01–0.02 μg/kg) is far below those used in the present study 47 , the effects of CNTs (0.2–2,000 mg/kg) on mineralization and transformation of 14 C-catechol may be significant and relevant in “hot-spot” areas of CNTs-contaminated soils.
