Pimecrolimus treatment increased the externalization of both CD203c and CD193 on the surface of cells isolated from hymenopteran venom allergics (but not healthy controls) following stimulation with high doses of venom (1.0 μg*ml -1 ), leading to a 4.3–6.6% increase in the frequency of SSC low CD203c + CD193 + , SSC low CD203c + and SSC low CD193 + cells (borderline significance—paired t -test p = 0.02, = 0.08 and = 0.02, respectively).
