Factors associated with non-HIV-related causes of death were: older age at HIV diagnosis, 50% increase in death risk corresponding to each 5-year age period; Spanish-born; IDU female (marginally significant) or heterosexual male and female; and presence of anti-HCV antibodies at HIV diagnosis ( Table 4 ).
