It can be observed from Table 6 for CO 2 removal (%) that, the coefficient for single effect of pH ( β 1 ), sodium bicarbonate ( β 2 ) and inoculum size ( β 3 ) ( P < 0.050) are highly significant whereas the square effects i.e., linear co-efficient β 11 , β 22 and β 33 and the interactive terms β 23 are not significant except β 13 which is significant.
