There were highly significant positive correlations between camera traps and tracking cages in the frequency of sessions that paired monitoring stations detected dormice (Spearman’s rank-order correlation, r 2 = 0.826, df = 9, p -value = 0.003) and wood mice (Spearman’s rank-order correlation, r 2 = 0.833, df = 9, p -value = 0.003, Fig 3 ).
