ECC prevalence by age The pooled results of 91 articles indicated that the overall prevalence of ECC for children aged 1–6 years was 0.3%, 17.3%, 40.2%, 54.4%, 66.1% and 70.7%, respectively ( Table 1 ), showing an increasing trend with age ( Fig. 3 ).
