After adjusting for age; height; weight; systolic blood pressure (BP); levels of serum glucose, total protein, blood urea nitrogen, serum calcium, serum phosphorus, alkaline phosphatase, alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), triglycerides, total cholesterol, total bilirubin, and serum creatinine; and the estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR), BMD was found to have an increasing trend across the quartiles in male, female, and postmenopausal female participants (Figure 2b ).
