There was a highly significant relationship between the decrease in learning and the decrease in GABA over this time period, such that people who showed less of a decrease in learning rates when performing the task after anodal tDCS were also those who showed a greater increase in SICI over the same time period ( r = −0.69, P = 0.009; Fig. 5 ).
