It incorporates a sense of how their body image influences their interactions, and is therefore a highly significant factor in social and interpersonal relationships. 21 People with skin conditions may be particularly susceptible to developing a negative body image, exacerbated by appearance-related stigmatisation. 20 This study had 2 aims: i) to measure psychological wellbeing in adults with EB; ii) to examine the null hypotheses that there is no association between psychological wellbeing and self-efficacy, an internal health locus of control, and body image.
