Interestingly, the mean firing change of all the neurons recorded over PCPDTBT showed a sustained and highly significant reduction of activity during the light pulse ( Fig. 6b; −46.4 ± 5.1%, n = 80) as compared with parallel recordings from slices on bare glass (2.2 ± 4.7%, n = 97; p < 0.0001, Mann-Whitney U test).
